| Calculate
your BMI to see... Body Mass Index (BMI) is a new term to most
people but is being increasingly used by doctors to measure obesity. Insurance companies
are another example of BMI being used to determine those people at risk from diabeties or
heart problems. BMI equals a person's weight in kilograms divided by height in metres
squared. For example, a person of 5'4" in height can weigh a maximum of 145 lbs,
equal to a BMI of 25 before becoming at risk.
How to calculate your BMI
Simply select you height, then move across the table to yourcurrent weight. Your BMI is
shown at the top of that column.
